Hello I'm Kristin!  I am an artist and art teacher living in St. Petersburg, Florida and I like to spend my time learning, questioning, and experimenting.  I think of teaching art to children as an art medium itself - there is always room to think creatively, refine, and grow!   I have also created art through woodworking, painting, video, animation and other explorations.  I think everyone is an artist, and I'm thankful for every opportunity I have to make art alone, with children, and with friends.

On this website you will see some examples of my personal artwork and some pictures of my unique international teaching experiences.  My passion for the arts and helping others has led me on a unique journey.  My experiences owning a creative woodworking business, designing art programs for English language learners in Vietnam, and teaching art on a US military base in Vicenza, Italy have shaped me into a flexible and passionate educator.

I believe that relevant art education teaches people how to accept themselves and approach the unknown with curiosity instead of fear.  Creativity is in all of us and can help us live rich lives.  I'm always experimenting and looking for ways to learn from my art, my students, and other artists!  Thank you so much for stopping by!
